Join us for a powerful evening with Dr. Rafael A. Martínez, Assistant Professor at Arizona State University, in conversation with acclaimed poet, performance artist, and Santa Clara County’s first undocumented Poet Laureate, Yosimar Reyes.

Together, they will explore themes of migration, undocumented youth activism, and the role of literature in social movements—offering a timely conversation on solidarity, resilience, and creative resistance in today’s anti-immigrant climate.

Dr. Martínez’s new book, Illegalized: Undocumented Youth Movements in the United States, traces two decades of youth-led activism and organizing, highlighting the voices and strategies that have shaped the undocumented movement.
