"Birth of the World", a video screening by visiting artist Brad Necyk

We invite you to a special screening of recent works by award-winning Canadian Artist Brad Necyk, who uses art to communicate deep truths about Earth, the universe, and the human condition.

Brad is visiting UCSC from Apr 11 to Apr 23, hosted by the UCSC Earth Futures Institute, the department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology, and the Arts Division.  Brad is an award-winning artist from Canada and has collaborated with cancer patients, mental health patients, and indigenous peoples to communicate their unique stories.  His PhD thesis won the Gold Medal of the Governor in the province of Alberta.
Lately Brad has turned towards conservation and the environment, making him an ideal partner and collaborator for the Earth Futures Institute.

The event is free and open to the campus community. Small bites will be served, along with a free mezcal tasting.
