https://communitystudies.ucsc.edu/Please join past and present faculty and staff, and current students in what's sure to be a lively, thought provoking discussion about community activism. An alumni panel convened by legendary field study coordinator Mike Rotkin will kick off the conversation about Community Studies' 50 years of contributing to progressive, grassroots social change. We will celebrate past accomplishments, especially the life and legacy of Community Studies founder William Friedland (1923-2018). And equally important, we will envision the next 50 years and what futures can be imagined and created through our continuing collective work in the world. Discussion will be followed by refreshments and more conversation on the Oakes Lawn. https://communitystudies.ucsc.edu
