Cornucopia is the largest gathering of new Banana Slugs all year and the ultimate opportunity to experience the many ways you can be active and involved in student life at UC Santa Cruz. Visit over 250 campus organizations and talk to representatives from all over campus! Hosted by Athletics & Recreation at the East Upper Field, students can learn about offerings for adventure outings, boating/sailing, group exercise classes, intramural sports leagues/tournaments, physical education courses, and sport clubs. Almost every facet of student life is present at this event including ethnic resource centers, student health and wellness services, academic resource offices, environmental and sustainability groups, student media, fraternities and sororities, and more. Enjoy dinner on the field provided by UC Santa Cruz Dining Services featuring music, student performances, and the best view of Monterey Bay!
Students will need a ticket for dinner. To avoid long lines, get your ticket in advance from any dining hall cashier. Cashiers will be available on-site for last minute guests who wish to pay by meal card swipe, cash, credit card, or Flexi$. Please note, all dining halls will be closed after 1:00pm on the day of Cornucopia. Come to CORNUCOPIA to enjoy an amazing experience and dinner on campus for the evening!
CORNUCOPIA is a ZERO WASTE event. Recycling stations will be set up around the event. All plates, utensils, and food are expected to be composted. Special thank you to the Sustainability, Dining Services, and the Resource Recovery offices for helping ensure a zero waste event. We also encourage you to bring a reusable water bottle with you and visit our water stations for refills. More information will be available via recreation.ucsc.edu.
