Join us for our annual DNA celebration on April 25th, 11am-1pm in the Baskin Engineering Courtyard! The event is free and open to the public.

No registration required for general participation - just show up and enjoy the fun!

This is a fun, celebratory event geared toward anyone and everyone who is interested in learning about the science of DNA.

 

Schedule:
11:00am - 1:00pm

  • Resource Fair - talk to representatives from campus orgs and services
  • Strawberry DNA Extractions with WiSE- see actual DNA strands appear before your very eyes!
  • Interactive Activities - assemble an edible double helix out of candy; temporary DNA tattoos, face painting
  • Poster Session - learn about the research our undergraduate trainees and other members of the Genomics Institute research community are engaging in

12:30 - 12:45pm

  • Our famous Double Human Helix conga line with free t-shirts available for everyone who participates!
