Looking to venture into music production but unsure of where to begin? Join the EmpowHer Sound live workshop, "Introduction to Music Production for Women," a transformative experience tailored for beginners. This special summer event features a three-hour workshop designed to equip women with the skills and confidence to start producing their own music and to unleash creativity by learning practical skills in beatmaking, synthesis, and audio effect. 

Co-presented by the Arts Research Institute and Music Department at UC Santa Cruz.

• Free and open to the public
• Register here in advance (or at the event if space allows)
• Check in begins at 5:30 p.m.
• Workshop begins at 6:00 p.m.

AUDIENCE ADVISORIES

• The best way to prepare for the event is to arrive early so you have time for registration etc.
• Please don't feel the need to have a production software to follow along as we'll be going through this with everyone together, but please do bring something to take PLENTY of notes!

• Parking is by UCSC permit, Park Mobile, or pay $5 cash/credit to the on-site parking attendant in Lot 126
