Fail Fest/ Life Happens: Challenging Notions of Failure through Stories of Resilience
Alumni are welcome! Please join the First Generation Initiative as we seek to: (1) reflect on shared experiences through the power of storytelling; (2) complicate our notions of failure by examining historical and ongoing systemic barriers that undermine success; (3) affirm our shared strengths in resilience and resourcefulness; and (4) build and strengthen community ties.
Network with faculty, staff, and students over dinner through activities and learn about campus resources. Performance by Kadence Keys, a UC Santa Cruz band inspired by funk, R&B, and neo soul. See full program for the evening's events.
This event would not be possible without a generous gift from the Jacques M. Littlefield Foundation.
Keynote storyteller: Adilah Barnes (Cowell ’72)
