About this Event
Treat your mother or treat yourself by learning about how to make your cut flowers look their best! Whether using flowers from your garden or other sources, learn how to take those cut flowers and turn them into a beautiful floral arrangement.
Taught by Heidi Harris, former professional floral designer and current staff member at the Center for Agroecology. Heidi will discuss how to harvest and prep fresh flower and choose types of flowers for color, texture, shape, and line, and explain the basic design principles for working with flowers and the mechanics of how to prepare your container sustainably without using artificial floral foam. She will demonstrate how to create several styles of arrangements for different looks and take your questions at the end. Follow along with Heidi or just watch and learn.
