Lavender Graduation 2019

UCSC's 21st Annual LGBTQIA+ Graduation!

Thursday, June 13th, 1-3:30pm
UCSC Women's Center, Cardiff House (Lower Campus)

Lavender Graduation, formerly known as Rainbow Ceremony, celebrates LGBTQIA+ students' accomplishments at UC Santa Cruz. We welcome all graduating students, both undergrad and graduate, to participate. Families and friends are invited to attend.

We will be honoring UCSC community members who have demonstrated outstanding advocacy and/or service with and for the Queer and Trans community at UCSC. If there is a Queer or Trans undergraduate, graduate, staff, or faculty member that has impacted your life at UCSC, we encourage you to nominate them!

Julio Salgado is the co-founder of and project manager for CultureStrike. His status as an undocumented, queer artivist has fueled the contents of his visual art, which depict key individuals and moments of the DREAM Act and migrant rights movement. Salgado travels around the country working on various visual art projects and giving art lectures about his work. He is currently working on developing a scripted series about the undocumented millennial experience in the U.S. with DreamersAdrift co-counder Jesus Iñiguez.

The Women's Center is located at Cardiff House by the base of campus. Cardiff House is located behind Carriage House, about a 5 minute walk from Lower Campus bus stop. The Women's Center has a wheelchair accessible ramp and restroom. There is an additional all gender restroom with a baby changing station.
