During the evening, Earle will be in conversation with M. Sanjayan, CEO of Conservation International, and Julie Packard, executive director of the Monterey Bay Aquarium. Together they will take on the topic of climate change innovations and the need for inclusivity in what is sure to be a dynamic conversation with potential to alter the trajectory of how humans inhabit this Earth.
The work of innovating and implementing environmental solutions needs all of our voices--particularly those disproportionately affected by climate change--if it is to grow into an unstoppable movement. Only then will we ensure a positive and productive future for our land, ocean, and coasts.
The UC Santa Cruz Foundation Medal recognizes individuals of exceptionally distinguished achievement whose work and contribution to society exemplify the vision and ideals of UC Santa Cruz.
