This year's La Alegria Del Mariachi is an afternoon presentation of Mexican Music popularized by the iconic mariachi ensemble. This concert will feature students of the mariachi ensemble class (MUS 12) and members of the student organization Mariachi Eterno de UCSC as well as members of Los Mejicas de UCSC. The presentation will be highlighted by Oscar Ortega Ornelas, a master mariachi musician and singer who has recently completed a seven-year tenure with el mejor mariachi del mundo Mariachi Vargas de Tecalitlán.

ADMISSION
- General admission $0–$12.
- Tickets available on Eventbrite only.
- Follow UCSC Arts Events here on Eventbrite for notices and updates. 
- Free for UCSC students (ticket required).
- Doors are scheduled to open 30 minutes prior to event start time.
- Ticket holders not seated at least 5 minutes before the advertised start time may forfeit their ticket/seat and no refund will be issued.

PARKING
- Parking by permit, ParkMobile, or $5 cash/credit via the on-site parking attendant.
- Arts Lot #126 is the closest parking lot to the event.
- Visitors with DMV placards or plates may park for free in DMV spaces, Medical spaces, or ParkMobile spaces without additional payment, or in timed zones for longer than the posted time.
