Engage with students and alumni of Merrill College's Focus on Africa series , content experts, and distinguished guests in discussing current events relevant to Africa and the African Diaspora. Topics to be explored include the August 2022 General Election in Kenya, media bias in the coverage of Africa, and "debt trap" diplomacy. A special tribute to the late Archbishop Desmond Tutu (1931 - 2021) and other contributors to the end of apartheid in South Africa will be included in the program.
