The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) at UCSC
invites you to their monthly gathering at the Colleges Nine/John R Lewis Multi Purpose Room for light bites and socializing (10-11) and a presentation by Lora Bartlett, Associate Professor of Education, on "Going the Distance: The Teaching Profession in a Post-COVID World" (11-12).
Professor Bartlett has noted that many K-12 schools are meeting their teacher requirements through intensive international recruitment, particularly from the Philippines. She will provide an informed perspective on the current state of the teaching profession.
OLLI at UCSC is a community of adults from diverse educational, occupational and geographic backgrounds who are devoted to the pursuit of learning.
