https://agroecology.ucsc.edu/education/short-courses.htmlLearn how to produce healthy seedlings organically for your farm or garden operation through a new short course offered by the UC Santa Cruz Center for Agroecology. This course will cover seed and seedling biology, management of environmental conditions to optimize seedling growth and development, greenhouse systems and production tools to increase efficiency and improve crop health, and effective methods for regulating pests and diseases in the greenhouse. Through three in-person sessions and asynchronous online lectures and videos, course participants will learn to assess soil mixes, crop health, seedling maturation, and greenhouse/production area systems. Course instructors Kellee Matsushita-Tseng and Christof Bernau manage the greenhouse operations at the UCSC Farm.
