Pruning & Training Stone Fruit Trees (IN-PERSON)

Review the goals and techniques of pruning stone fruit trees (prunes, plums, peaches, nectarines, apricots, apriums, pluots) in this lecture and demonstration workshop. Get some hands-on pointers on how to prune your fruit trees to maximize health and production. Information on tools, timing, techniques, and more, taught by Orin Martin, manager of the Alan Chadwick Garden. This workshop begins at the Cowell Ranch Hay Barn then moves to the the UCSC Farm orchard.

Pre-register online only, cost: $40 for general public, 10% off for current Friends of the Farm & Garden members. Limit 30 people.

Dress for the outdoors and bring a snack. Orin's book, Fruit Trees for Every Garden, will be available for sale.
