There is much to celebrate this holiday season! It's been an exciting year for UC Santa Cruz. We ranked second best university in the country for social mobility and we have joined the prestigious Association of American Universities (AAU).

Be sure to check out the upcoming exhibit, Santa Cruz Recycled Art Program (SCRAP), being shown from December 6–28 at R.Blitzer Gallery. The show is a partnership between the city of Santa Cruz Arts, city of Santa Cruz Arts Commission, and SCRAP. Six artists—including UC Santa Cruz alumni Andrew Purchin (Kresge '85) and Janet Fine (Porter '90) and UC Santa Cruz staff member Pam Dewey—have transformed landfill objects into art.
