Screening: "The White Album" by Arthur Jafa

A free event with hourly screenings of The White Album, Arthur Jafa's follow-up to Love Is The Message, The Message Is Death. Presented as a complement to the Just Futures exhibition at the Mary Porter Sesnon Art Gallery. As with Jafa's previous work, The White Album is collaged from found and original video, but shifts the gaze to white people and whiteness to expose Black-white relations in America.

Arthur Jafa received the 2019 Golden Lion award for best artist in the Venice Biennale for The White Album. Film courtesy the artist and Gladstone Gallery, New York and Brussels. Just Futures: Black Quantum Futurism, Arthur Jafa, and Martine Syms is curated by T.J. Demos and presented in collaboration with the Institute of the Arts and Sciences. More information on the exhibition here.
