About this Event
Baskin Service Road, Santa Cruz, California 95064
https://nicolerudolphart.wixsite.com/home #ucscartsArt student Nicole Rudolph blends art, ritual, and personal culture in her senior art show, an exhibition that brings social focus to biracial Latinx people in America today
In the Seance of Duality series, the artist interviews and photographs biracial Latinx people from her community. Using the visual language of Victorian seances and Mexican ofrendas, she built altars to "summon" the very essence of each person. In this way, she displays a person in their entirety, instead of a person divided.
This show was made possible through funds received from the 2021 Eduardo Carrillo Scholarship.
