Tommy Palm is CEO of Resolution Games and an accomplished entrepreneur in the gaming industry, who will share important lessons on developing for the new MR paradigm in his talk Beyond the Basement: Demeo in Mixed Reality. Resolution Games creates virtual games that connect friends new and old all over the world, getting them out of their seats to move around and engage in real adventures of all kinds, and driving novel XR use cases.

🎤 Samir Ghosh, a PhD researcher at UC Santa Cruz, is developing multi-user scientific sensemaking tools for wildfire mitigation and marine science, funded by the Sloan Foundation. In the talk’s first part, Samir will cover how their team used ShapesXR and UI/UX methods to design and refine interfaces. The second part will explore WebXR-based development as a flexible alternative to platforms like Unity and Unreal Engine.
