About this Event
3175 Bowers Avenue, Santa Clara, CA 95054
On September 15, 2008, Lehman Brothers, a prominent Wall Street investment bank, filed for bankruptcy. Stock markets began collapsing around the world, and the global economy entered its worst crisis since the Great Depression.
On the tenth anniversary of the beginning of this financial and economic crisis, UCSC's Center for Analytical Finance has organized a panel of three premier financial experts to discuss the events and lessons of the past decade, and what may lie ahead for the world economy.
Our panelists are Prof. Darrell Duffie (Stanford), Prof. Barry Eichengreen (UC Berkeley) and Dr. Mark Levonian (Promontory Group), and the moderator is Prof. Michael Hutchison (UCSC and CAFIN)
There will be a reception starting at 5PM with the panel beginning at 6PM.
