The Loss of Hindustan: The Invention of India

The 2nd lecture in the Center for South Asian Studies' Towards Justice series.  

Our speaker, Manan Ahmed, is Associate Professor for History of South Asia at Columbia University. He specializes in the littoral western Indian Ocean world from 1000-1800 CE. He is the author of A Book of Conquest (2016) and The Loss of Hindustan (2020).
