Traction: Art Talk with Stephanie Syjuco

Born in the Phillipines and now residing in the Bay Area, Stephanie Syjuco is an artist renowned for her large-scale installations that address contemporary social and economic issues, including political dissent and the legacy of colonialism. 

Syjuco's work is in the collections of the Whitney Museum of American Art in New York, the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, and the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, among others. And, it has been featured in exhibitions at the Museum of Modern Art, New York; San Francisco Museum of Modern Art; the Whitney Museum of American Art, New York; the Havana Biennial; and others.
