UCSC’s Early Days: The Creation of an Uncommon Campus

With more than 50 years of hindsight, Campus Architect Emeritus Frank Zwart (Cowell ’71) and founding faculty member Bill Domhoff will discuss the ideas and the decisions that created UC Santa Cruz. Frank will present the visionary goals of an ambitious planning effort leading up to our arrival at Cowell College in September 1967, and Bill will describe those aspirations from the perspective of a young professor.
