About this Event
This program is the first of two sessions related to Peace Corps.
Have you ever thought about becoming a Peace Corps volunteer? Peace Corps provides opportunities for US citizens to live and volunteer in another country for a period of two years. Peace Corps placements include the fields of agriculture, environment, community and economic development, health, education, and youth in development. Peace Corps volunteers receive airfare, housing and a living stipend in their host country. Upon completion of two years of service, Peace Corps volunteers also receive $10,000 to help with transitioning back into life in the United States. There are also student loan benefits such as loan deferral and student loan forgiveness.
During this session, you’ll learn about it all. Plus, we will feature a panelist of Peace Corps alumni who will be able to share their experiences living and working abroad.
